What we did at Acton Scott!

We watched the Victorian lady demonstrate how they made butter in the olden days.

The blacksmiths made horse shoes for horses.

We had the chance to meet farm animals that they kept in the Victorian times.

The Shire horse was called Clumper. We met Clumper before he went to plough the fields!

We created straw pictures made out of real wheat.

We milked a fake cow. Mooo!

We saw some of the working machines they used in Victorian times. We had a try at grinding the wheat.

Victorian children were taught in the school house. They wrote on chalk boards. If they did anything naughty it was written down in a book and they were whipped with a cane!

We enjoyed spending time with all our friends from Homework Club.

We looked at the house where the farmer and his wife lived.

The Victorians made their own bricks in an oven.
